4th Grade Teacher St. Anthony of Padua Parish and Schools, Effingham, IL Full-Time | August 2026 Position Overview St. Anthony Grade School, a vibrant Catholic Grade School serving more than 500 students in preschool through 8th grade, is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Teacher to join our team at the 4th grade level. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment where students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. This teacher will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum aligned with diocesan and state standards while supporting the mission of Catholic education. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subject areas, including Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies • Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student learning and development • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners • Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration • Integrate faith-based teachings and Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom culture • Collaborate with grade-level teachers, specialists, and administration • Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities • Maintain accurate records of student performance and classroom activities ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (required) • Valid state teaching license (or ability to obtain) • Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission of Catholic education • Strong classroom management and organizational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Passion for working with elementary-aged children ________________________________________ Mission & Catholic Identity St. Anthony Schools are a Catholic, co-educational school system in Effingham, IL that provides a learning environment steeped in tradition and committed to excellence in education, with over 500 students in our grade school and over 200 students in our high school.
