Duties

The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Counselor (Interventionist) will play an essential role in implementing SEL strategies to ensure a positive school climate that supports students’ social and emotional needs. As a counselor/interventionist, you will provide direct support to school leaders, teachers, and staff on social-emotional learning programming, including standards, curriculum, assessment, and professional development. You will work to ensure that SEL is integrated into instruction and daily practices aligned with the district’s Multi-level System of Supports framework.

Qualifications

Social Emotional Interventionist Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. Must hold PEL or Sub Certificate
3. Valid Illinois driver’s license
4. Initial health examination
5. Successful completion of a criminal background check

Salary/Benefits

Base salary $51,495.00

Benefits: 3 personal days, 14 sick days, and optional health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
