Music Teacher (K–12) – Full Time St. Anthony of Padua Parish and Schools, Effingham, IL St. Anthony of Padua Parish and Schools, a vibrant Catholic Grade School and High School serving more than 700 students in kindergarten through 12th grade, are seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Music Teacher to lead and grow our music program. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a comprehensive music experience—from introducing foundational concepts to young learners to directing high school choral performances and preparing students for regional and state competitions—while also supporting the liturgical life of the school. ________________________________________ Position Highlights • Teach general music to students in kindergarten through 8th grade • Direct grade school and junior high choir programs • Lead two high school chorus classes (one during the school day and one after school) • Collaborate with the Parish Music Director to prepare music for weekly Mass • Direct three annual concerts: Fall, Christmas, and Spring • Prepare students for ILMEA and IHSA contests, including: o Audition preparation o Collaboration with the school’s Band Teacher to coordinate event logistics and ensure effective supervision of students ________________________________________ Our Mission & Catholic Identity St. Anthony Schools are a Catholic, co-educational school system in Effingham, IL that provides a learning environment steeped in tradition and committed to excellence in education, with over 500 students in our grade school and over 200 students in our high school.
