Learn characteristics of students with a specific learning disability in math, and explore the best practices backed by research.

These practices include:

  1. the use of multiple representations,
  2. systematic word problem instruction,
  3. timed measures to solidify fact fluency, and more!

 

Gain insight into the unique learning needs of students with specific learning disabilities in

mathematics and explore best practices that increase student achievement. Our

sessions include embedding concrete tools into mathematics instruction, emphasizing

daily fact fluency practice, and strategically teaching patterns within word problems.

 

Please bring a device along to this training. The trainer will be demonstrating a couple of online tools.

 

This training will be held on November 18, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The cost to attend this training is $25/person and a light breakfast will be provided. Each participant will receive 3.0 PD hours.
