Focusing on how we teach, not  what we teach, is the basis of this presentation, featuring  the work of Dr. Anita Archer and Charles Hughes. It  explains the domains and elements of  Explicit Instruction—a structured, systematic, highly effective, research supported approach to intentional teaching. 

Designed for educators of all grade levels and content areas, this presentation breaks down the core architecture of explicit teaching into four actionable domains: Content, Design, Delivery, and Practice. Participants will discover that explicit instruction is not just traditional lecturing and learn how to design highly interactive lessons that support struggling learners and accelerate advanced ones.

This training will be held on September 16, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The cost to attend this training is $100/person and a light breakfast will be provided. Each participant will receive 3.0 PD hours.
