LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential Kits and SPIKE Prime Kits part of the LEGO® Learning System, are the cross-curricular STEAM solution for education. SPIKE Essential and SPIKE Prime engages students in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts while contributing to literacy, math, and social-emotional development.

SPIKE Essential consists of a main elementary classroom brick set with a wide variety of LEGO® elements and intelligent hardware, along with the intuitive SPIKE™ App, all of which is accompanied by a selection of unit plans and comprehensive online and in-app support.

Combining colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch, the SPIKE Prime STEAM set continuously engages students through playful learning activities to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of their learning level. From easy-entry projects to limitless creative design possibilities, including the option to explore text-based coding with Python, SPIKE Prime helps students learn the essential STEAM and 21st century skills needed to become the innovative minds of tomorrow... while having fun!

The ROE has purchased new LEGO Education SPIKE Essential Kits (K-5) and SPIKE Prime Kits (6-8) for our districts to utilize with their students.  Come learn about this exciting new purchase! This training will be held on January 15, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. This training is FREE to attend. Each participant will receive 3.0 PD hours.
