HS Social Studies Workshop - Lincoln and Reconstruction

The seminar is a study of Lincoln’s struggles, ideas, and plans to reconstruct the Union during and after the Civil War. Special emphasis is placed on the challenges he faced in trying to win the war while simultaneously laying the groundwork for a reconstructed country, and how his ideas about the status of sales changed over the course of the war.
This program will be conducted as a discussion, utilizing primary source documents as the only readings in our conversation. All attendees of this free seminar will receive lunch, a letter of attendance, as well as paper and digital copies of the reader.
This training will be held on October 29, 2025 from 8:55 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center. The seminar is FREE to attend and lunch will be provided thanks to the Teaching American History program. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Each participant will receive 5.0 PD hours upon completion of the program.
