About LETRS Volume 2
Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) equips educators with the tools to apply Science of Reading research in their classrooms, ensuring they can effectively teach language and literacy skills regardless of the curriculum or program their district uses. The second volume of LETRS contains four units of six sessions each. The main focus of Volume 2 is language comprehension.
Participation Requirements
- Participants must have completed Volume 1 by the start of Volume 2.
- The online module requires a weekly time commitment of 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Participants will also attend a full-day LETRS Unit workshop after each six-week unit, totaling four workshops.
This cohort will be hosted in a hybrid format beginning August 4, 2025 and concluding no later than May 22, 2026. The in person training dates will be held at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center on September 16th, November 13th, February 18th, and April 21st. The cost to attend this training is $500 and will include the LETRS Participant Materials Bundle (Print + License) and lunch/snack for the 4 in person attendance days. Each participant who completes Volume 2 will receive 92 PD hours. (68 for the modules and 24 for in person)
