OG Academic Math Training is the "Key to Learning" for struggling math students and students learning math for the first time.
The OG Math Basic Concepts Training is Marilyn Wardrop’s, training course for teachers, Orton-Gillingham practitioners, education assistants, administrators, learning support teachers, and home-school instructors.
OG Academic Math is rooted in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, originally designed for literacy instruction. As a result, it provides an interactive and cognitive framework for teaching and learning mathematics. This structured approach guides students through small, incremental steps, fostering deeper comprehension and connecting concepts to broader mathematical principles.
The course is provided through asynchronous instruction and is self-paced although some school cohorts may follow a predetermined schedule. There are prerequisite modules and some practice assignments that must be completed before moving forward in the course.
Training videos and modules are designed to be completed over six weeks once you enroll. However, you will have access to the course for one full year and can generally complete it at your own pace.
