Join us to rethink what it truly means to live in poverty. This interactive workshop will expand your understanding and foster greater compassion for the challenges many in our community face. You’ll leave with actionable insights and a renewed commitment to being part of the solution.
This eye-opening experience offers participants a chance to deepen their awareness of the daily struggles of those living with limited resources and constant stress. Through a dynamic Poverty Simulation, licensed by the Missouri Community Action Network (MCAN), attendees will step into the shoes of individuals and families in poverty, navigating the challenges of securing food, shelter, and other necessities over a simulated month (divided into four 15-minute weeks).
Participants will engage with community institutions, resource providers, and the complexities of living on the edge, gaining a deeper appreciation for the obstacles many face.
