Understanding ADHD and Responding in the Classroom

Almost every teacher has experience teaching students with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (“ADHD”) and is familiar with the challenges, frustrations, and sometimes the moments of joy and humor they bring. Information about ADHD continues to evolve, as research improves our understanding of this lifelong, neurodevelopmental disorder. This workshop focuses on understanding the nature of ADHD, how its symptoms present in the school setting, and effective strategies to try with these students. Strategies to use when parents refuse evaluation and/or treatment will also be discussed.
This training will be held on February 25, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. The cost to attend this training is $100/person and a light breakfast will be provided. Each participant will receive 2.5 PD hours.
