INTC will be hosting a three-day professional learning series on mentoring in Vandalia, IL on March 19th, April 11th, and May 2nd. This will be a hybrid series with March and May being held in person and April 11th being held via Zoom. Topics to be discussed include: The Art and Science of Mentoring, Building Trust and Rapport, Navigating Coaching Conversations, Providing Effective Feedback, and Supporting Continuous Improvement.

The Art and Science of Mentoring: Learn proven strategies to cultivate a thriving mentormentee relationship, develop a growth mindset, and ignite a passion for continuous learning. Whether you are a seasoned mentor or just starting out, this session will empower you to inspire greatness in others.

Building Trust and Rapport: Trust and rapport are the foundation of effective mentorship. In this session, unlock the key principles to establish authentic connections with your mentees. Uncover strategies to navigate diverse perspectives, cultural nuances, and challenging dynamics. Get the resources you need to create a safe and supportive environment where mentees can thrive.

Navigating Coaching Conversations: Master the art of coaching conversations and unleash the potential within every teacher you mentor. Learn effective feedback frameworks and acquire the tools to facilitate reflective thinking and promote self-discovery. Gain the confidence to navigate difficult conversations and inspire growth and development in your mentee.

Providing Effective Feedback: Unlock the secrets to providing meaningful and impactful feedback. Discover strategies to deliver constructive criticism with sensitivity and respect. Learn how to identify strengths, provide specific actionable suggestions, and celebrate achievements. Amplify your mentoring impact by guiding teachers on a journey of continuous improvement.

Supporting Continuous Improvement: Become a champion of continuous improvement as you explore the strategies and practices that enable teachers to grow throughout their careers. Discover how to foster a culture of ongoing professional learning, nurture reflective practice, and empower teachers to become the best versions of themselves.

The in person sessions will be held at the ROE #3 Professional Development Center, 1500 W Jefferson St., Vandalia, IL from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. on both in person days.  A catered lunch will be provided for both in person session. The cost to attend this is event is as follows:

o    Early Bird (ends 1/31/2024): $500

o    Regular: $550 (ends 3/11/2024)

o    District/Organization (Groups of 3+): $450 per person with provided code
